Liboc 3, the reigning Czech national champions, until now led by skips Anna Kubešková and Alžběta Zelingrová, is undergoing major changes. Michaela Baudyšová, Aneta Müllernová, and Karolína Špundová remain on the lineup. The five‑player squad will be strengthened by two young athletes from the Polární lišky (literally Polar Foxes) – Matylda Volfová and Emma Seifriedová.
At the start of the season, the team will focus mainly on building chemistry and finding the optimal lineup. “We don’t know each other that well on the ice yet, but we’re starting already in mid‑August, and at the end of August we’re heading to Oslo for the Nordic Curling Tour, where we’ll be fine‑tuning the lineup and team communication. Before the European Championships, we have plenty of tournaments ahead of us, both in the Czech Republic and abroad,” said Michaela Baudyšová.
Anna Kubešková has already announced her retirement, while Alžběta Zelingrová plans to continue playing recreationally and will join one of the extraleague teams. Klára Pařízková, a long‑time mainstay of the team, is expecting another child and will therefore miss at least one season.
The team will be led by the coaching duo of Karel Kubeška and Anna Kubešková.
