Vote for your favorite among the most fair\u2011play moments of the Games.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The tradition of the Fair Play Award dates back to 1964, when it was presented to Italian bobsledder Eugenio Monti. The International Olympic Committee and the International Fair Play Committee, together with media partners, have selected six of the most remarkable fair\u2011play moments of this year\u2019s Olympics. Among the nominees is also <strong>Julie Zelingrov\u00e1<\/strong>, who demonstrated what it means to <em>play by the rules<\/em>, even when no one is watching. By voluntarily reporting a barely noticeable rule violation (touching a moving stone), she chose personal integrity over an easy advantage.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Other nominees:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Amber Glenn (USA) \u2013 Figure skating:<\/strong><br \/>\nDespite her own disappointment, Glenn stepped in to shield Kaori Sakamoto from intrusive cameras \u2014 prioritizing mental well\u2011being and human dignity over media attention.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Italy &amp; USA \u2013 Women\u2019s curling teams:<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen a dispute over a burnt stone threatened to overshadow the match, both teams chose honesty over gaining an advantage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Canada \u2013 Women\u2019s ice hockey team:<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen the Finnish team was hit by a norovirus outbreak, Team Canada did not seek a forfeit win \u2014 instead, they supported postponing their Olympic opener in the name of fairness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ilia Malinin (USA) \u2013 Figure skating:<\/strong><br \/>\nAfter a heartbreaking fall from 1st to 8th place, Malinin did not withdraw \u2014 he sincerely congratulated gold medalist Mihail Shaidorov.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kagiyama Yuma (Japan) \u2013 Figure skating:<\/strong><br \/>\nKagiyama\u2019s spontaneous and genuine joy for Shun Sato\u2019s medal showed that friendship and true happiness for someone else\u2019s success can transcend any rivalry.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Anyone can vote here: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.olympics.com\/en\/vote\/fairplay\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.olympics.com\/en\/vote\/fairplay<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who, in your opinion, embodies fair play at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games?
