Teams<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

Eight women and eight men teams got qualified to the OQE 2017 on the basis of the results (point system) of the World Championships 2016 and 2017 and the appearance at the World Championships 2014 and 2015. <\/span><\/span>However, the Norwegian Curling Association finally decided not to sign up the women team to the competition. Therefore only seven female teams will play in Pilsen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two teams who succeed in Olympic Qualification Event 2017 will join already qualified teams and play in February 2018 at the Olympic tournament in Pyeongchang, Korea. There are eight women’s teams (Canada, Russia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Sweden, Korea and Japan) and eight men’s teams (Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Korea, Norway, United States and Japan) already qualified to Pyeongchang. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
